Return to Cantha: Winners Announcement

Welcome Tyrians!

In November, we launched our Return to Cantha contest. We asked our audience to submit brief submissions on their predictions and wishes for the continent of Cantha. We wanted to know what you would like to see, experience, and learn about this isolationist continent. Then, in the past few weeks, our panel of judges composed of our writers, friends, and editor—Beka, Joshua, Amy, Tessa, and Jalinar—has reviewed the entries and chosen their favourite participants. Without further ado, here are our winning entries.

Grand Prize

Our grand winner will receive the following prizes:
9200 gems
2x Community Chest
1x Edge of Destiny novel
1x Sea of Sorrows novel

Winning Entry: Shelby - Nicole R.

Our grand winner submitted entries that beautifully blends the mundane past and present of Shelby’s life, a ranger from Kryta, with the vistas of the Maguuma Forest, the sands of Elona’s desert, and her future plans to catch a mythical creature in Cantha.

Cantha Brief

Winning Entry: A New Cantha - Staren H.

The tale of The Guilded Wing and The Darkwings is one entwined with Cantha to its very core. The intricate relationships that bound its members and their interest in reconnecting with the distant past of their organization’s founding is what pique our interest in this entry.

Tertiary Prizes

Our tertiary prize winners will each receive the following prizes:
3200 gems
1x Community Chest

Biography Brief

Winning Entry: Tale of the Tether - Dan S.

This thorough exploration of the Commander’s deeds throughout the years was definitely worthy of a prize.

Cantha Brief

Winning Entry: What I Want to Do in Cantha - The Safety Calzone

The simple directness and unabashed whimsy of this entry caught all of the judges off-guard. We simply had to award this entry a prize.

All winners will soon be contacted via e-mail and, with their permission, we may even publish their entries to our website in the coming weeks.
