Dear Lissi,
For yes, my dear friend, that is who you are still, despite the name change. You might think to fit in better in the desert, but you remain Lissi Reen, and not the more “sophisticated” Lissimae Tassina.
While I think of it, congratulations on your defeat of Palawa Joko. The world is a better place, rid of that monster.
I assure you, Metrica Province and your lab is unchanged, and your progeny run rampant. They miss you, but not as much as their teachers do. The cats all snubbed my attentions, but I am told they spend most of their time napping around your cook station, even without anyone there to feed them.
When asked, Steward Gixx complained mightily about how you seemed to have forgotten your roots amongst the Priory. I did make a point of mentioning how painstakingly you searched for the missing pages of “Garden of the Gods” and sent him a copy of your research first. His complaints dimmed to mumbling after that.
Lion’s Arch is still chaos after the Mad King’s visit, and I did take notes, such as they are. I know you’ll fuss about the quality, but I’ll remind you I’m a noble, not a scholar. I thank Kormir every day that you’ve softened your positions on such matters. Not everyone knows how to invent golems, or craft saddles for roller beetles.
Where do you intend to travel next? What plans have you made for the future? How do you fare in your quest to find the griffons and learn the secret of riding them? I assume no luck yet, or I would hear you in the skies.
I would join you, but my own troubles take me into the Maguuma Jungle. Whether we meet in person or remain in touch via letter, I remain
Your friend,
Arienne
